Start-up Visa Program

This program focuses on choosing and selecting businesspeople who have new business ideas with intention to perform the operation from within Canada. Under this program business applicant is introduced to Venture Capitalist and Angel Investors group. Purpose of introduction to Venture Capitalist and Angel Investors group is to share an individual’s business ideas to them which in-turn helps them in getting the required funds needed to run the business. Once the idea is picked up by a Venture Capitalist or an Angel Investors group, they provide applicant with a support letter and based on which an individual applies for work permit or work visa. Letter of Support includes minimum financial commitment as mentioned:

● a designated angel investor group confirms that it is investing at least $75,000 in a qualifying business or two or more designated angel investor groups confirming that they are together investing a total of at least $75,000 in such a business,

● a designated venture capital fund confirming that it is investing at least $200,000 in a qualifying business or two or more designated venture capital funds confirming that they are together investing a total of at least $200,000 in such a business; or

● a designated business incubator confirming that it is accepting the applicant into its business incubator program.

ON THE BASIS OF LETTER OF SUPPORT APPLICANT MUST APPLY FOR WORK PERMIT.

For qualifying under Start up Visa program applicant must have:

● Letter of Support

● Language proficiency of CLB 5

● Proof of Sufficient funds

● Business Requirement:

Applicant’s skills, personal net worth and experience make them eligible under Investment programs for achieving permanent residency goals. All the provinces in Canada have immigration program for Entrepreneurs/Investors. In this program business applicant submits their Expression of interest letter to start their business in a specific province. After critically analysing entrepreneurs profile Province with which the profile matches send invitation to Apply with the highest scores in the pool.
