Family Reunification

As a country with a guarantee to family reunification and holding friends and family together, Canada offers various immigration programs that offer Canadians the chance to support their relatives to Canada. Through the process of Family reunification/immigration Canada provides an opportunity for new immigrants as well as old immigrants to reunite with their family members. Canada focuses on the process of family reunification and the numbers go with it as it is the 2ndlargest category of immigrants in its annual target every year.
 
Types of family class sponsorships:

Spousal/Common Law Partner/Conjugal Partner Sponsorship
Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their respective spouses/common law partners/conjugal partners through a well-defined immigration program set by the government of Canada. Sponsored person could be inside Canada or even outside Canada. Sponsor and sponsored person to get sponsored should meet some basic requirements set out by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
 
Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship
Canadian government has extended their support for family reunification by providing a perfect platform for sponsoring parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Every year there is a draw which comes out to sponsor the family members and there are certain basic requirements which are to be fulfilled by the sponsor set out by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Citizens and permanent residents must fill their interest to support their parents and grandparents to sponsor them.

Dependent Child and Other Relatives Sponsorship
Canadian government in response to showing their efforts for family reunification has made another programme for sponsoring dependent children. Under this programme a citizen and permanent resident holder can sponsor dependent children (under the age of 22), natural or adopted to become permanent residents of Canada. For using this process there are certain rules and regulations which come with some basic eligibility requirements as well as financial undertaking sated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
